We stopped off at Burger21 on the way home today, and picked up a few burgers. Luckily for me, they have a gluten free menu! I was hoping to have a burger like everyone else, but such was not in the cards. It would seem that only their beef patties are gluten free (those who know me know that I don’t eat beef), not their turkey, chicken or veggie patties. Thus, I was relegated to having a salad.
I ordered their Chopped Cobb salad, which all in all, was yummy. The downside is I didn’t read carefully enough to realize it had bleu cheese crumbles, and I don’t like bleu cheese. Maybe in the back of my brain I was thinking that I might give it another try. Regardless, I only ended up eating half of the salad because of it. This is of course nothing against Burger21’s salads, but my poor choice in cheese.
I plan on writing an email to the company, and letting them know that while I applaud their gluten free options, that it might be helpful to offer more than one meat option for their gluten free diners. I’ll keep you posted on if they reply!
