Goodwill Haul

Finally had a chance to go to Goodwill for the first time in ages, and was able to pick up some more amazing black clothing for my super gothy goth collection.  Hopefully I’ll have enough clothing soon that I can stop wearing jeans and tshirts all the time and start dressing nice?

Black clothing is so hard to photograph.

First, I didn’t buy this today, but I did buy it recently (ok, a few months ago).  It’s a black, crushed velvet jacket with silver buttons. I think I spent $7 on it.

I always look through the vest section, and found this nice, lined, Lane Bryant vest with wide lapels.  It’s heavyweight and well constructed, and cost about $8.  The surprising feature is that it’s a size 14, and it fit.  I’m typically a size 16.

Another vest, this one only about $4, and is also lined.  The fabric is a little scratchy, though that might ease up a little once it’s cleaned.

Lastly, a lace poncho type shirt. Normally I wouldn’t spend $8 on it, but I’ve been looking for something just like this.

That’s about it for now.  I only scored three things today, but I didn’t want to break my budget, since two of them were $8 boutique items.  I’d like to try the thrift store on the other side of town – Sunshine Thrift – sometime soon, but I don’t get out there as often as I’d like.

Have any of you out there purchased anything neat lately?  Feel free to share!
