I started keto on July 3rd and its been an interesting ride. We’re just past the 5wk mark and my total loss thus far has been 13lb. I’ve been tracking everything in Carb Counter – I really love this app – and recently acquired a food scale.
Sadly for the last 5 days or so, my weight has been stuck between 177-179lbs. I had one day where I totally misjudged my carbs and ended up with 27.5carbs at the end of the day. Ouch.
I’m trying my best to stick with it despite not seeing any more immediate progress. I haven’t been hungry much, so I end up doing a intermittent fast (IF) without trying – I don’t end up eating until much later in the day. I keep track of weighing my food, CICO, and tracking my macros now.
The big changes I’ve noticed is more energy and less pain. My thoughts are much clearer, especially since I take a lot of medication that can make me very foggy-headed. I don’t notice any actual weight loss – granted, I didn’t take before pictures or take measurements. I’ve been trying to judge on how my clothes fit, and I’m not noticing any changes yet.
