Falafel Failure

I tried to make baked falafel tonight using the following recipe and failed miserably.
The mixture was far too wet and crumbly, and didn’t hold together at all. So far it’s still in the oven, in the hope that maybe it’ll dry out, but I’m not optimistic. I’m kind of bummed out, because this was a last ditch effort to come up with dinner, and I blew it. Now it’s almost 8pm and I have no backup plan. Sigh.

Hmmm I have only tried falafel mix from a packet before… I think to make the mix from scratch must be very hard because a lot of things can go wrong with proportions
I’m not sure what went wrong, I followed the recipe to the letter.
Hey, It does not look that bad from the picture. Falafel is hard to get right the first time (or first several times), if the mixture is too dry they disintegrate. Instead try baking them instead of frying and you will get some really good results.
The photo is from the recipe I was working from, I didn’t get a photo of mine as it looked like pet food.
